Nestled in the heart of Yeovil, Sidney Gardens is an often overlooked small, three acre public park offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the town.
With an impressive design dating back to 1897, the gardens are home to a number of historic features such as the Victorian “McFarlane” fountain and the Christ Church Font. For more information on the history visit yeovilhistory.info.
Today Sidney Gardens showcases a fantastic array of plants, trees and wildlife unusual for such an urban area. The recently launched Tree Trail includes rare tree species from all over the world.
Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely stroll, walking your dog, or simply unwinding on one of the park’s benches, Sidney Gardens is a treasured green space for all to enjoy.
The Friends of Sidney Gardens is a dedicated community group committed to preserving and enhancing this historic park. Working in partnership with Yeovil Town Council, the group plays a vital role in keeping Sidney Gardens a welcoming and well-maintained space for everyone.
